For the unit we will start with a new Box (Length: 75; Width: 60; Height: 1.5; Length Segs: 1; Width Segs: 1; Height Segs: 1) which we will convert to an Editable Poly.

Go to Polygon sub-object mode and Inset the front Polygon 1.5 units. Then Extrude it -28.5 units.
