Today we'll learn to model a classical guitar. It will be a simplified approach, but even so it's not going to be a short lesson. Once you finish all steps you can apply what you learned to further refine the geometry.
Download the guitar-start.max file which contains two planes with the top and side blueprints of our guitar set as textures. You can also download the blueprint images: top view, side view.
We will first model the hollow body. Start by creating in the Top View a box with 5 Length Segs, 6 Width Segs and one Height segment. The box should be wide enough that the hollow body in the top blueprint fits in it.
We have just opened our tutorial directory! Feel free to submit tutorials hosted on your website or other online tutorials that you think are worth mentioning.
