Classical Guitar (3D Studio Max modeling tutorial) - step 1
Today we'll learn to model a classical guitar. It will be a simplified approach, but even so it's not going to be a short lesson. Once you finish all steps you can apply what you learned to further refine the geometry.

Download the guitar-start.max file which contains two planes with the top and side blueprints of our guitar set as textures. You can also download the blueprint images: top view, side view.

We will first model the hollow body. Start by creating in the Top View a box with 5 Length Segs, 6 Width Segs and one Height segment. The box should be wide enough that the hollow body in the top blueprint fits in it.
