Maximize the Perspective viewport. Cylinder01 should be still selected. Now click the "Align" button located in the main toolbar and then click on NGon01. Align Selection dialogue box will appear.

Check all the 3 Positions' box and choose "Pivot Point" for both the Current and Target Objects. Click OK to end the aliging operation.

Now, add and "Edit Mesh" modifier and enter into "Polygon" sub-object mode. Select the top and bottom polygons and delete them by pressing DELETE button.
