In this first part of the "Barcelona Chair" 3D Studio Max modeling tutorial we will learn how to create the supporting frame.

We will start with a line in the Front Viewport. Under the Creation Method make sure that Initial Type and Drag Type are both set to Corner.

Create another line for the other frame. The second vertex should be fairly close to the middle vertex of the first line.
