Also add to the selection the 4 inner edges at the corners (actually we should've done this in the first selection step).
Double check that all edges are selected correctly, then chamfer the selection 0.15 units.
Finally add a MeshSmooth modifier with 2 or 3 Iterations and your basic brick is done.
