Click on the path to select it. In the Modify panel > Editable Spline, go to Spline sub-object.
In the viewport, click on the part of the shape that lies on the Box to select this spline sub-object and then simply press DELETE to delete this part.
Now select the Box and then click Animation menu > Constraints > Path Constraint.
